Membership Categories

Please note:

Where a membership requires proof of eligibility, the membership will not be activated until the proof has been verified.
Proof can be uploaded to your membership account in the Leisure AND App or online services. Documents may also be brought to reception where they will be photocopied for our records.
We accept a screenshot of a letter, document or online account provided it clearly shows the required information.

Membership Categories
Adult Available to those 18 years and over. Proof documentation not required.
Concession - Over 60 Available to those aged 60 and over. Proof documentation: passport, driving licence, bus pass, birth certificate, only required at time of first application.
Concession - Disabled Proof provided must be issued within the last 3 to 6 months, showing the receipt of one of the following: Disability Living Allowance (DLA) – Highest or Middle rate Personal Independence Payment (PIP) – Enhanced or Standard Rate Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Universal Credit Income Support Blue Badge holder Documentation must clearly show the applicants name and address, receipt of current payments and an expiry date. Proof documentation: Universal Credit, DLA, PIP, ESA, Income Support, Blue Badge. Proof renewal: where an expiry date is not provided, proof must be resubmitted every 6 months.
Concession - Unemployed Available to those claiming Universal Credit, in receipt of Carer’s Allowance or Carer’s Credit. Documentation must clearly show the applicants name and address and an expiry date. Proof documentation: Universal Credit, Carers Allowance, Carers Credit. Proof renewal: where an expiry date is not provided, proof must be resubmitted every 6 months.
Student - 16 and 17 year olds Available to those aged 16 or 17. Proof documentation: passport, driving licence, birth certificate, school bus pass. Proof renewal: not required until 18th birthday.
Student - 18 year olds (not in 3rd level education) Available to 18 year olds still at school who must provide a letter from the school confirming attendance. School leavers wishing to continue or take out membership during July and August must provide proof of a place offer from a university/college. Proof documentation: school letter, bus pass, during the summer proof of offer of 3rd level education. Proof renewal: required in 30 September
Student - in 3rd level education Available to those 18 years and over in 3rd level education. Proof provided must show: The name of the college/university being attended the student’s name and photograph the expiry date of the student status. Open University will not be accepted for student status. Proof documentation: student card, Uni Day Id., letter on headed paper showing name, address and expiry date. Proof renewal: in September unless expiry date is provided.
Junior Fitness and Spa and Fitness memberships are available to 11 to 15 year olds. Aqua membership is available to 5 to 15 year olds. Proof documentation: passport, birth certificate, bus pass, renewal not required.
Child add on Available to children up to 15 years old, who is a family member of an existing member who holds an Adult, Corporate or Concession prepaid membership. Proof documentation: passport, birth certificate, bus pass, renewal not required.
Corporate Available to employees or members of our listed Corporate organisations. Employees must provide their pay slip or organisation staff pass and club members notification of their membership, as proof of employment by or membership of the organisation. Proof documentation: payslip, staff pass, club membership Proof renewal: annually on date of joining.
Active Ageing Available to those aged 60 and over. Proof documentation: passport, driving licence, bus pass, birth certificate. Only required at time of first application.
Resident Available to those living in the borough of Ards and North Down. Proof documentation: household bill, drivers licence Proof renewal: at time of membership renewal

Available to 18 year olds still at school who must provide a letter from the school confirming attendance.
